The Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration (OFNAA) hosted a talk titled “Wise Use of Internet” for children and youth on 21 April 2025. During the talk, OFNAA shared common pitfalls of Internet use, such as cyberbullying and online scams in an interesting and interactive way with members of the Yau Tsim District Junior Police Call. It also deepened their understanding of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance (Cap. 390) (COIAO).
Through the event, the Project Officer from OFNAA introduced the participants to the contents of COIAO, as well as the roles of the law enforcement agencies of COIAO and the Obscene Articles Tribunal. Additionally, the officer taught the participants to stay vigilant against harmful online content, such as violence and pornography, to protect them from being adversely affected. The participants actively engaged in the interactive session, asking questions and participating in discussions, which helped to enhance their knowledge of the relevant laws and their ability to identify harmful online information.

OFNAA will continue to organise various publicity and public education activities to help children and young people stay away from obscene and indecent information online, promoting the correct use of the Internet.
