The Office for Film, Newspaper and Article Administration ("OFNAA") held "The 17th Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme Award Ceremony" on 7 February 2026 at Kwai Fong Community Hall to recognise the participation and efforts of the student ambassadors as well as the support from their schools, teachers and parents.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the Assistant Director of Film, Newspaper and Article Administration, Mr Chris Fung, stated that OFNAA has all along been making significant efforts to keep young people away from the online obscene and indecent materials while helping them to use the Internet in a positive way. The "Healthy Information Student Ambassadors Scheme" (the "HISA Scheme") is one of the initiatives and it is hoped that the student ambassadors will help spreading the message of "rejecting objectionable information" among their peers and bring it into the community through participation in the HISA Scheme.

Launched by OFNAA since 2009, the HISA Scheme has reached the 17th anniversary in 2025-26. In the 2025-26 academic year, 65 students from 25 secondary schools participated in the HISA Scheme. In this year, in addition to the nomination through schools, OFNAA collaborated with the Junior Police Call ("JPC") of the Hong Kong Police Force to conduct recruitment and nominations through the JPC of different police districts. Nine student ambassadors were nominated through the JPC. The student ambassadors participated in various training and public education activities to deepen their understanding on healthy use of the Internet. They actively promoted the concept of healthy use of the Internet and "Healthy Information for a Healthy Mind" at their schools, while also participated in various public education events to spread the message of safe and healthy use of the Internet.

Nomination of the 18th HISA scheme will commence in March 2026. Form 1 to Form 5 secondary school students who are interested in the participation of the HISA Scheme please stay tuned and contact their school for inquiries.
